Drastically Improve Sales Using The 80/20 Rule

A lot of business owners have this preconceived notion that more is always better.

And that doing less is somehow detrimental to their business.

The only problem with that is…

The vast majority of businesses got it all wrong. Whether it’s overcomplicating things or simply putting more effort into something that isn’t going to work.

It’s like trying to put more effort into turning a Kamala fan into a rational human being.

Not going to happen.

So, how do you fix this problem?

More is not always better

The Pareto Principle also known as the 80/20 rule states that 80 percent of your results comes from 20 percent of your efforts.

So let’s say a guy is on the phone with a prospect, and the call goes something like this.

“Hey man, I was just calling because I saw your photos on your instagram. Those were some really good photos there and I was meaning to ask if you're interested in working together so we can help take some photos and make money.”

Then he continues talking, and talking, never building rapport, and before you know it he loses the prospect.

All because he did not apply the 80/20 rule into the conversation and ended up losing the prospect.

So how can you apply the 80/20 rule into your business so you don’t make the same mistake?

Work Harder And Smarter

Before applying more effort into anything. You must first ask yourself.

Does this give me more or less results?

Because if the answer is less, then use the 80/20 rule, it’s super simple, and works every time.

For example, let's say you’re running a business and you notice that 80 percent of your revenue comes from 20 percent of your employees.

But you decide to keep 80 percent of the employees and get rid of the 20 percent that’s making you all the money.

Not the right way to go about it.

Let’s keep the 20 percent instead of the 80 that’s not making as much.

Focus on the results

So at the end of the day more does not always mean better.

Let's get rid of this notion that doing more is always better. Let’s just keep things simple, and focus on adding more into something that would benefit us.

Apply the 80/20 rule into your business and see just how much more you can get done by focusing on the right things.

Much more on the way,

Jose
